Asilomar talk

I’ll be speaking about “the geometry of conic sections” at an upcoming conference*. Perhaps I’ll see some of you there?

I added the info to my Talks page, but have not yet uploaded all the corresponding materials. The site so far only includes the geometry of the parabola. I’ll be adding bits about the ellipse and hyperbola by December 22.

* California Math Council, Northern Section, Asilomar conference — my talk is at 9:30 a.m., Saturday December 5, in the Kiln room. I’ll be using Cabri, but most of what I’ll show can be done with any interactive geometry software (e.g. Sketchpad, Cinderella, etc.)
