On January 15, I spoke on “Reimagining Math” at the Independent Curriculum Group conference in New York City. I also participated in a panel on “How Schools Can Encourage Innovation”. There was tremendous interest in the Urban School math program on the part of many math teachers and school leaders. I handed out flyers for “Escape from the Textbook!” and the Center for Innovative Teaching.
On January 28, at the ICG conference in Philadelphia, I’ll do it all again, though “Reimagining Math” will be a panel discussion.
