Logo Math

I removed the book / software package Logo Math: Tools and Games from my publications page, as it has been out of print for some time.

The vision it manifested, articulated in “The turtle in the age of the mouse”, is nearly defunct as well — I know of no currently available programming language that can be used by a wide range of students to learn programming, and also by teachers to design tools and games. The dynamic geometry programs (Cabri, Sketchpad), Fathom, and the graphing calculators all incorporate elements of this, but none have the potential range of a full programming language. On the other hand, I love using them, as do my students, and let’s face it, they are far better at what they do than the graphing and geometry programs I created in Logo in the eighties.

But I do miss my complex numbers game…
